The 'Real' Man Behind The Curtain

1 Post from January 2011

So today is the first day of the rest of my life....

Odd. So was yesterday! So now I've got:

  1. Diabetes Type 2
  2. Bi-Polar disorder
  3. Chronic Bronchitis
  4. Asthma
  5. low thyroid
  6. nerve damage (right arm)
  7. hi cholesterol
  8. sleep apnea

YUK! Makes life difficult. On a daily basis, I choose. On a daily basis, I choose "life". I am always hoping that today will be better than yesterday, the day before that and so on...

Most of the time, my days have been steadily improving. Since changing my meds to Lithium, I have found that I am actually HAPPY, most of the time! That is cool. Currently the noise in my head has been quieter. I no longer seem to hear the voices (thoughts!), of suicide. That is most welcome. It's quite hard to function when people ask you to do things, that are minimally important compared to suicidal thoughts.

I hope that they never return. I don't think I can go through all this stuff again. I am just way to tired to do that.

Crossing my fingers and toes that those thoughts will not make a return visit.
